Thick, protein-rich multi-lentil crepes with rice and spices — a traditional Tamil Nadu breakfast that is nutritious and filling.
Ingredients
1/2 cup rice
1/4 cup toor dal
1/4 cup chana dal
1/4 cup urad dal
4 dried red chillies
Asafoetida
Curry leaves
Onion
Salt
Oil
Method
Soak rice and dals together for 3 hours. Grind coarsely with chillies and asafoetida. Add salt, onion and curry leaves. Pour thick rounds on hot tawa. Cook with oil until crispy on both sides.
