Puffed rice tossed with chutneys, vegetables and sev — Mumbai's tangy, crunchy street snack.
Ingredients
- 3 cups puffed rice
- 1 cup sev (thin fried noodles)
- 1 boiled potato, diced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup green chutney
- 1/4 cup sweet tamarind chutney
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- Lemon juice and coriander
Method
- Combine puffed rice and sev in a large bowl.
- Add potato, onion and tomatoes.
- Add both chutneys and toss well.
- Sprinkle chaat masala and lemon juice.
- Toss quickly and serve immediately — it goes soggy fast!
- Garnish with extra sev and fresh coriander.
