Charred tandoor-style chicken chunks in a spiced tomato masala — rich, smoky and deeply satisfying.
Ingredients
- 800g boneless chicken, cubed
- For tikka marinade: 1 cup yogurt, 1 tbsp ginger-garlic, 1 tsp each: turmeric, cumin, coriander, garam masala, red chilli
- For masala: 2 onions, 3 tomatoes, 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste, cream, kasuri methi, spices
Method
- Marinate chicken minimum 2 hours in spiced yogurt.
- Skewer and grill or cook on high heat in griddle pan until charred.
- For masala: fry onion puree until golden.
- Add ginger-garlic and tomato puree with spices.
- Cook until thick and oil separates.
- Add tikka chicken pieces.
- Add cream and kasuri methi.
- Simmer 10 minutes and serve.
