Method

  1. Make sugar syrup by dissolving sugar in water with cardamom. Boil 5 minutes. Add rose water.
  2. Mix khoya, flour, semolina and baking soda.
  3. Add milk gradually to form soft smooth dough.
  4. Roll into small smooth balls — no cracks.
  5. Deep fry on very low heat until dark golden brown (they must be deep brown inside).
  6. Drop immediately into warm syrup.
  7. Soak minimum 1 hour before serving.
