Steamed rice dumplings stuffed with sweet coconut filling — a traditional Tamil Nadu festival treat made during Ganesh Chaturthi.
Ingredients
2 cups rice flour
Hot water
Salt
1 cup grated coconut
3/4 cup jaggery
Cardamom powder
Method
Make filling by cooking coconut and jaggery until thick. Add cardamom. Make dough with rice flour and hot water. Shape into cups, fill with coconut mixture, seal and steam for 15 minutes.
