Sweet, fluffy deep fried banana bread buns — a unique Mangalorean breakfast that pairs perfectly with coconut chutney.
Ingredients
2 ripe bananas mashed
2 cups maida
1/2 cup yogurt
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cumin seeds
Salt
Oil for frying
Method
Mash bananas. Mix with maida, yogurt, sugar, cumin and salt to make soft dough. Rest 1 hour. Divide into balls, flatten slightly. Deep fry in oil until golden and puffed. Serve with coconut chutney.
