Green peas and paneer in a lightly spiced tomato-onion gravy — quick, colourful and nourishing.
Ingredients
- 200g paneer, cubed
- 1 cup green peas
- 2 onions, pureed
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt and cream to taste
Method
- Heat oil, add cumin seeds.
- Cook onion puree until deep golden.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and tomato puree.
- Add spices and cook until thick.
- Add peas and cook 5 minutes.
- Add paneer cubes and 1/2 cup water.
- Simmer 10 minutes.
- Finish with cream and serve hot.
