Quick Kerala dry stir fry of vegetables with grated coconut and turmeric — a staple side dish in every Onam Sadya.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cabbage or beans finely chopped
- 1 cup grated coconut
- 3 green chillies
- 1 tsp turmeric
- Mustard seeds
- Curry leaves
- Coconut oil
- Salt
Method
- Temper mustard seeds in coconut oil. Add curry leaves and chillies. Add vegetable with turmeric and salt. Sprinkle 2 tbsp water, cover and cook 5 minutes. Add coconut and mix well.
